Shrimp rod puppet used in a New Jersey/Maryland lottery commercial along with crabs. AnimatedFX, Inc., a renowned Los Angeles-based company specializing in animatronics and special effects, created this lifelike 15-inch shrimp puppet, which is made of painted fiberglass. Created by industry veterans Dave Nelson and Norman Tempia, this puppet features a moveable body, painted resin, and articulated antennae, carapace/thorax, and abdomen. Shrimp is approx. 9 inches long. This absolute unit of a crustacean measures approximately 15 inches in length with a girthy 2 inch circumference. Condition: While the puppet's feet are missing, its cable-operated thorax still rotates a few degrees. Minor corrosion is evident around the base of the rubber and brass rod.
