In ancient Egypt, the style of dress was dictated enormously by the heat of the land. It created a very special design of clothing, which to this day is instantly recognizable. A wonderful example is the pleated and layered wrap around short-kilt. This piece is from the famous production of Verdi's "Aida", lead by Luciano Pavarotti, which was preformed at the world renowned San Francisco Opera.
