Aida Ankh Collar
Verdi's "Aida" takes place in ancient Egypt and is known for its magnificent sets and costumes. This is a dark red Egyptian collar with gold trim and Ankh symbols, which represents the Underworld, and became the symbol of the west bank of the Nile, where much of the story takes place. This beautiful piece is from the costume department of the San Francisco Opera Company for the production starring the legendary Luciano Pavarotti.
