After Marcus (Sam Worthington) saves Resistance pilot Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood), they make their way to leader John Conner's (Christian Bale) base. However on the way Marcus is wounded by a land mine. It is then that he discovers to his horror that he is actual a cyborg with human organs!
