Ben Hur (1959) Spear Head

From the classic 1959 adventure epic Ben Hur, starring Charlton Heston, comes this heavy duty spear head used during the making of the film. The spear head appears to be made from machined heavy aluminum and has an opening on the bottom for fitting onto a wooden pole for throwing. (Measures approx. 15 1/2" long). This collection of 'Ben Hur' memorabilia came from an estate in New Jersey with the original purchase dating back to the early 70's from the David Weisz studios auction in Los Angeles. This collector passed away recently and the 45 year old collection was sold recently at Berman's Auction Gallery.
