In the world of special effects make-up no one stands taller than Oscar winning Stan Winston. He was an innovator and amazing man who inspired a whole army of director's and effect's geniuses. This is a rare Michael Jackson mask, created by Winston for Michael Jackson's legendary feature length "Moonwalker". Though the movie consists of a collection of some of Michael's greatest hits, it does have a cohesive story in which Jackson saves the world's children from evil and transforms himself into a robot. This is the prototype of the mask Jackson wears when he becomes the robot, created by Winston to show Jackson just how the mask would separate into pieces. The actual separation lines are seen on the back of the mask, drawn by Winston as he described it to Michael Jackson during pre-production. (Approx 8x8).
