Ben Hur (1959) Roman Soldier Sword

This is a large size Roman soldier's sword from the 1959 Charlton Heston epic adventure 'Ben Hur.' The sword is constructed from a heavy duty, curved steel blade that fastens into an ornate brass handle with 'vine' engravings. The blade shows signs of use and rust, as the film is now over 50 years old. (measures approx. 34 1/2" long) Oversized item. Additional Postage Required. This collection of 'Ben Hur' memorabilia came from an estate in New Jersey with the original purchase dating back to the early 70's from the David Weisz studios auction in Los Angeles. This collector passed away and the 45 year old collection was sold recently at Berman's Auction Gallery.
