Mad Max Pool Ball Helmet
From the film that started Mel Gibson's career, this is a prop 'pool cue' helmet used during the filming of the original Australian sci-fi classic 'Mad Max' (1979). The helmet was worn by one of the background bikers who roam the Australian wasteland after a nuclear war. The helmet is made from thin plastic and painted red, with a number '3' applied to the reverse with black tape. Helmet has a slab of foam inside for comfort, and a red sparkle collar that fastens into a chin strap, with attached dangling steel rings. The paint is chipping off on some places. (measures approx. 12"x 11")
