Brown wool vest, worn by actor Franchot Tone. Includes a United Costumers tag with Tone's name handwritten alongside a production number of 703 B. Tone was a prominent stage and film actor of the 30s and 40s who appeared in such classics as Mutiny on the Bounty, The Lives of a Bengal Lancer and Advise and Consent. His leading man good looks and regal bearing served him well in many of these films.
