Screen Worn Breeches from The Lodger

Black riding breeches worn by actor John Rice in Laird Cregar's Jack the Ripper opus, The Lodger (1944). Rice was unaccredited in the film but portrayed one of the London policemen mounted on horses. Includes a handwritten "John Rice London Mounted Police" notation on the inner waist and a United Costumers tag with "Mounted Police" handwritten on it.
