Warner Baxter Screen Worn Jacket

Gray suit jacket worn by star Warner Baxter, one of Hollywood's highest paid actors in the 1930s. Includes a United Costumers label on the inner pocket, with Baxter's name handwritten as W. Baxter. A further "W.B." is also handwritten above this. Baxter starred in classics such as The Great Gatsby, The Cisco Kid and Prisoner of Shark Island. He essayed the role of the Crime Doctor, a criminal-turned-criminologist who solves mysteries, in ten films for Columbia in the 1940s.
