Joe E. Brown Screen Worn Suit

Coat, vest and pants worn by comedic actor Joe E. Brown. Suit is brown, striped and made of heavy wool. Vest has a United Costumers label on the inside with Brown's name handwritten on it. Pants and coat have a stamped "TBS", for The Burbank Studios, on the inner linings. Brown is best remembered for appearing alongside Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot and additionally appeared in Broadminded (with Bela Lugosi), Earthworm Tractors and The Gladiator.
