Spencer Tracy Screen Worn Coat

Gray frock coat, worn by Golden Age superstar Spencer Tracy. Includes a Western Costume Company label with Tracy's name given as "S. Tracy". A handwritten notation of "Byron" is written over the label. Tracy, a frequent co-star of Katherine Hepburn, appeared in such classics as Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. His most memorable latter-day role was probably as the beleaguered police detective in It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
