2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - A high quality very detailed model of the Pan Am jet from the opening sequence of the film where it docks with the space station. This is from Don Pennington, award winning model maker, who acquired it from Warner Brothers when he was working on the documentary "MGM When the Lion Roared". MGM did not know exactly where the model came from or what it was used for, but it perfectly matches the one in the film, so it is through to be a study maquette. It is made of a heavy resin material. 23" x 12" x 3"
