Count of Monte Cristo (1934) Robert Donat Vest and Pant
Count of Monte Cristo - Robert Donat's screen worn, off-white 'United Costumes' vest, ('United Costumes' tag inside),with square design and black 'United Costumes' cropped pants. Unlike other British actors who came to work in America during World War II, Donat stayed in Britain. He did not feel comfortable with Hollywood, so Hollywood came to him, filming mostly in England. He was lent to Hollywood for The Count of Monte Cristo. This was the only film he made in the United Stated that would have been costumed by United Costume.
