How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Young Grinch Paper Bag Mask - H4-216
A wonderfully memorable piece from Ron Howard’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Universal, 2000), this is one of the original paper bag mask props created for use by Josh Ryan Evans in his portrayal of Young Grinch during the film’s flashback sequence. This is one of several simple yet iconic props made for use in one of the film’s most poignant and humorous moments, when the young Grinch, ridiculed by his Whoville classmates, dons a paper bag with eye holes cut out to hide his face. Measuring 11" x 10" x 5", the mask is constructed from classic brown kraft paper with two hand-cut eye openings on the front. Its minimal design perfectly captures the bittersweet blend of humor and heart that defines the film’s tone. The piece remains in excellent production-used condition, showing only light wear. As one of the most emotionally resonant props from the film, it represents the moment that set the Grinch on his path toward Christmas infamy and eventual redemption.
The item(s) may exhibit varying levels of wear and studio distressing, as detailed in the listing images that provide an accurate representation of the condition.
